I use extra thickness for just about everything- It just gives me nicer gilds ( and i do a lot of it )

Default burling effect

which leaf is best for burling ?? tried it on transfer extra thick with 1 to 2 hr size did'nt work'was size dry?

so is that loose leaf or transfer?? or does it matter.
I've recently got the burling effect with the transfer gold i used but not too the standard i would like it.Thanks again for advice will try ducate double.

Burling?.. if you mean an engine turn effect ( like brushed spun circles in the gild)
(or any directional burnishing technice-)
then either will work fine - loose -transfer- single- or double.
the essential thing to to spin it soon after you gold while the size is still soft.

yes mate thats it , you say tomayto,i say tomato ha! no but seriuosly thanks for that wayne, think maybe leaving it a little too long before the initial gild than of course the twisting is left too late.
practice makes perfect & all .
hey mate ya can use them tomatos on them sandwich's ye like making lol !

also yur 1.5 hour size might be too fast... therfore harder ( not having that softness that longer sizes have) try a 3 hour..
